I'm trying to find a car I like the feel of because the RUF BTR I used in GT5 doesn't handle near as well anymore, so I need to move to a new go-to drift car. What do you use? I like power over drifts, not ebrake initiated. Lemme know!

Lancia Stratos. Even with all the understeer in the world it'll go sideways if you so much as glance at the apex.

I'm pretty sure Stratos is italian slang for "More oversteer than current physics models can explain."

Tune your car to start drifting without applying throttle, perhaps?

In GT5 at least, 99% of a car's drifting prowess was the tune and the driver.

To elaborate:

The trick is to tune the toe, camber, LSD and suspension such that when the car trail brakes into a corner, the tires with the most weight over them are pointing in the direction you want your car to go. Do it right, and you can let go of the steering wheel and just drive the car with throttle through the corner, since the front inside tire is basically doing nothing and has very little weight over them and the rear tires have all your grip and power. It's really cool. I can get into more technical details, but it would take a while unless you're interested.

Or, you can just throw silly horsepower at an over-steer happy car already and ignore subtlety or precision for laughs. It's all about having fun, after all.

In GT5, I always liked the C7 Vette for drifting. It didn't make setting up the drift easy, but once you were in one, it was beautifully controllable.

The (GT version) Mitsubishi EVO race car can be tuned into a drift monster. It makes torque like an electric motor.

Beige Volvo 240 wagon with bright orange wheels. If you can get your tire setup right, it works pretty well.

It does, I've got it tuned and its still a good drift car, but its not as good as it was before.

Anything I can make drift.

A PAJERO Raid is really easy to drift without any aids.

An El Camino is amazing fun.

A Z8 is easy.
